Some thoughts on this model
The owner’s love affair with Fulvia Zagato’s began when he was living in Paris in the early 70s. These little cars made, then as now, a chic design statement being compact stylish and sporty: a perfect Parisian Town Car.
The search began in earnest some 15 years ago. This car was purchased from a Lancia Club Stalwart after it had been restored and fettled in Italy. The owner had originally been in contention to buy the car 10 years ago before it was resettled. During Covid in 2020 the opportunity arose to acquire it.
The body and mechanicals were cared for in Turin by specialist mechanics who had worked for Abarth but who specialised in recent years in Lancia's and they have cared for the owners entire suite of Lancia's in casing a Stratos, an 037, an Aurelia and a B20GT Series IV.
The Zagato is special for a number of reasons including its special styling and being coach built. It's light and precise to drive and has a wonderful period feel. It has been very lightly used in recent years. It was refurbished with great care in Italy by marque specialists. It has won several Lancia Owners Club awards.
In summary:
An original 1972 UK supplied car.
Ground up restored bodily and mechanically in during 2017 by seasoned Lancia specialists.
Winner of numerous Concours awards at Lancia club events and as you would expect, drives superbly.
It would be a pleasure to answer any questions you might have. However, to really appreciate this Lancia, it needs to be seen “in the flesh”, so do please call me directly on +44(0)1737 844999 to arrange a viewing.
