Hand-built 2 Door Grand Tourer

Bristol
The famous racer and veteran car man, John Bolsterk's road test article of 1969, where he cleverly encapsulates the aura surrounding a Bristol 410, wrote, "I must admit that I have a great affection for hand-built luxury cars and to the man requiring a big, dignified car of very high performance, the Bristol brings a pride of ownership that abundantly justifies its considerable price"; happily nothing in my opinion has changed!

Julien's Perspective

Some thoughts on this model

Bristol cars handled the sale of this rather lovely Bristol 410 to its first six keepers with the last taking over the reigns via them in 2003. Pleasingly there's a synopsis of works undertaken by 'Filton' plus other notable specialists too, such as Spencer Lane-Jones and Andrew Blow, who incidentally handled its last but one sale, thus today it continues to present beautifully.

Care and attention has been lavished by the right type of people with the current owners indulging it further, with recent expenditure including new veneers, recovered top-roll, carpets, Webasto overhauled, re-chroming, new radiator and tyres, not forgetting sensible and regular maintenance.

Reliability can be the bane for owners especially when not often used, this 410 bucks these trends with a recent far reaching 5,000 miles four weeks European jaunt which included Turkey, being undertaken during 2022, thus proving its credentials and other than a few minor hiccups, the 410 never missed a beat.

The unmarked and gleaming blue paint work contrasts beautifully with the red leather interior and as previously mentioned, the interior is lifted further by new veneers, carpets and a properly functioning sunroof, so a lovely place to be whilst enjoying the effortless performance and its V8 burble !

It would be a pleasure to answer any questions you might have. However, to really appreciate this lovely Bristol, it needs to be seen “in the flesh”, so do please call me directly on +44(0)7788 865700 to arrange a viewing.
