Some thoughts on this model
Unique to this model was it's Vogue Blue metallic paint, a high compression engine and high ratio gear box, air conditioning, polished walnut door tops, a lockable cubby box and ruched map pockets on the back of the front seats. The remaining special features were all in load area and comprised of more carpeting on the floor, lower tailgate, wheelarches & spare wheel cover, a stainless steel tailgate capping was fitted along with a carpet curtain behind which the tools etc were stowed.
Probably the best known feature attributed to the model, was the bespoke picnic hamper; happily this remains with the car and is in remarkable and complete condition.
With only 2 former keepers and just 25,069 miles on the odometer it's evidently had little use over the years and as a consequence the interior condition on this Range Rover beggars belief, being in superb original order. The factory Radiomobile radio/cassette is in situ, as is the factory owners manual, service record and Leycare Supercover voucher along with its own AA emergency roadside box key! An item that's unusual to see, is the extendable fuel filler neck, normally lost or broken, it made refuelling from a jerry-can a cinch. She has been repainted and the body and chassis are sound.....just sailed through a new mot. A great chance to purchase a piece of Range Rover history.
