Some thoughts on this model
Its original specification of tinted windows, 'S' pack instruments, electric sunroof and emerald green paint work all remain and as you would expect it's fully matching numbers too.
The complete ownership records support that there have been just 5 former keepers, plus importantly there is sufficient evidence in the form of history, invoices and mots to confirm the indicated mileage of 52,000 as being correct.
The original owner was a company director and had the car for 8 years before selling it in 1980. The car was taken off the road 1981 but due to motor racing commitments the next owner dry stored the car until selling it in 2003 whereupon it had suspension refurbished and painted to a high standard by Barry Hodson Motorsport.....pleasingly there is again both a letter on file and photos confirm this and much other work undertaken by this particular owner.
The car has been diligently maintained by marque specialists ever since then and remains in excellent condition both inside and out. More recent works and servicing have been entrusted to two highly regarded specialists, Parr and Canford Classics and include the fitment of a new clutch, rear bearings replaced, suspension work and a full geometry set up along with new tyres. In addition both front seats have been rebuilt and correctly reupholstered by Classic FX.
Having recently driven the car back from Dorset, I can certainly attest to its comfortable seats, pin point steering and strong performance, happily cruising along the M27 at the legal limit ! Unusually and notable here, there is little in terms of wind noise from either from the roof or A pillars.
Being an rare 1972 RHD example, with a good history plus just an indicated 52,000 miles from new, I doubt they come any better than this.
