Some thoughts on this model
Correct originality is certainly one of the 'big three' prerequisites, along with provenance and condition when seeking a Fine Motor Car....invariably most cars have one or possibly two of these but rarely all three, this Mustang bucks this trend in offering all three in great abundance!
The only UK owner searched for a considerable time to find a unmolested original car and unsurprisingly, he came across this on the West Coast of the US.
This is a one owner US car supplied by Town & Country Ford, Charlotte, NC on the 9th March 1973 to a Bobby Orvil Cullen, who actually purchased as present for his wife! A subsequent call to them a few years confirmed all that he known to be true.
If you look in the right places the original chalked Ford factory build numbers are still visible. The car also has most of its original paper stickers attached to various parts of the car, & so on.
Thought the following perfectly surmises how rare this opportunity is:-
Of the:
134,867 1973 Mustangs
11,853 were Convertible. Of them,
968 came with 351-4V Engines.
675 of those had C-6 Automatic Transmission.
80 of them were painted Blue Glow Metallic, of which
35 had White Knitted Vinyl Buckets Seats. Of those,
17 of them came with Consoles. Of these,
4 were produced with F70X14 Belted Tyres.
3 of those had Air Conditioners. Of them,
2 were ordered with 3.23 Conventional Rear Axles.
1 of these came with Intermittent Windscreen Wipers
3F03Q187381 is that Mustang.
Enough said!
