Some thoughts on this model
Of the seven Aston Martin we currently have, this immaculate 2008 DBS 6 litre V12 manual is one of rarest given there were ever only 380 RHD cars assembled at Gaydon before production ceased in favor of the second generation Vanquish.
The pendle black carbon fibre bodywork is virtually unmarked and contrasts exceptionally well with the obsidian black leather and alcantara interior. The interior is further enhanced by the contrasting galena silver coarse stitching and full length piano black trim plus the heroically expensive carbon fibre door pulls and door caps.
The bonded aluminium chassis provides an incredibly rigid backbone which is fitted with active and adaptive suspension and carbon ceramic brakes helping make the V12 DBS one of their finest driving cars.
Having covered a total of 26,500 miles, a complete Aston Martin service history helps demonstrate that this DBS has been thoroughly cared for and wants for nothing.
All keys, including the Glass 'ECU' are present and in perfect order and the car benefits from a tailor made Aston Martin indoor car cover. In addition and an extra bonus, the bodywork has been treated with professional paint protection....I undertsand the thick end of a £1000 via Aston Martin!
Given todays rather restrictive approach to cubic capacity and the enthusiastic use of flappy paddles gearboxes, its a joy to behold a V12 engine and a manual gearbox together. It's this combination that is endorsed by those in the know, that makes the manual DBS one of Aston Martins finest driving machines.
