Some thoughts on this model
An interesting history is supplied with this Aston Martin: soon after its delivery via HR Owen in September 1966 it was shipped to Hong Kong where it remained for the next 22 years until it was bought back to the UK in 1988 and registered on its original plate to a West Country AMOC branch Chairman and then subsequently a Devon Hotelier.
The majority of maintenance has been handled by Aston Martin Dorset and Goldsmith & Young plus other specialists who undertook a bare metal re-spray plus a complete interior re-trim to include Wilton carpets and roof lining. The engine has been rebuilt within the last 10,000 miles and the gearbox has been upgraded with the fitment of a superior ZF 4 speed automatic unit.
Since 2010 it has been entrusted to John Watson of Chicane Classics, formerly a senior engineer technician with RS Williams who has undertaken further refurbishment and mechanical enhancements on behalf of the last 2 owners. This DB6 is offered with a history file and factory issued leather drivers & workshop manual.
